Developed in 2018, each DEW Line is designed and manufactured through knowledge gained from over 30 years in the volunteer fire service.
Quality Materials
Each DEW Line is created out of extruded 6061 one-inch box aluminum. Building the DEW Line out of aluminum prevents rust and corrosion as well as ensures that it will be able to withstand any weather conditions you might find your self in.
The 3M Scotchlite reflective tapes is industry standard and makes sure that they are visible both day and night to protect your crews.
Quality DESIGN
The design of the DEW Line has gone through a number of iterations to find the design most suited to real world use. It is built with usability as a main concern and the design allows rapid deployment by only a single crew member.The collapsible design allows you to store multiple DEW Lines in a minimal space giving you a multitude of deployment options while taking up the smallest possible storage space on your truck or apparatus. Folded up for storage, a single DEW Line measures 4’ x 6” x 2” (122cm x 15cm x 5cm).
Quality OPTIONS
Currently the DEW Line is only offered in a flat collapsible style with 2 different size options:
Standard length, 10’ 11” (10 ft, 11 inches)
This length covers one lane of a highway, from the center line to the shoulder line. Only weighs 4 kg (8.75 lbs)!Extended length, 14’ 6” (14 ft, 6 inches)
This length covers one lane of a highway and the shoulder, from the center line to the edge of the roadway. Only weighs 5.2 kg (11.5 lbs)!
We are actively investigating a number of other DEW Line styles including a folding tow-behind version for when your vehicles are moving slowly on a roadway, and a folding vertical version that is more like a barricade, but still folds up for ease of storage.
